GDPR & Cookies
Last updated: 8 May 2026
A short, plain-English explanation of how this website handles your data under UK GDPR, and why you didn't see a cookie banner when you arrived.
Cookies on vicerta.com
This site does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any equivalent. You can browse every page without being tracked.
You may see a small number of strictly-necessary technical cookies set by our hosting platform (Vercel). These are limited to what's needed to deliver the site reliably (for example, load-balancing across edge servers) and contain no identifying information. UK regulations don't require explicit consent for strictly-necessary cookies, which is why this site doesn't show a cookie banner.
If we ever introduce optional analytics in the future, we will:
- Update this page first
- Add a clear consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set
- Honour Do Not Track signals where the browser sends them
How we comply with UK GDPR
Data minimisation
We collect only the information we genuinely need (the application form fields) and nothing more. Optional fields are clearly marked.
Purpose limitation
Application data is used to evaluate your application and shape our product. It is not used for marketing without separate opt-in.
Security
Data sits in encrypted databases (Supabase, EU region) with row-level security enabled. Service-role credentials are kept server-side and rotated as needed. All data in transit is sent over HTTPS.
Right to access, correction, and erasure
Email hello@vicerta.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days. Tell us your name and the email you used to apply, and we will locate, return, correct, or delete your record as you ask.
Data Protection Officer
Vicerta is currently small enough not to require a designated Data Protection Officer under UK GDPR. The founders are accountable for all data-protection decisions and can be reached at hello@vicerta.com.
Where to learn more
Full details of what we collect, why, and how long we keep it are in our Privacy Policy.
If you have a complaint about how we've handled your data, you can contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
